Roca dels Moros and Els Gascons were the first Levantine rock art shelters discovered and thus a new age of discoveries began, making public a new prehistoric rock art style.
Because both shelters were almost totally destroyed very early, this app, intended as a teaching tool, is focused on the recuperation of this damaged heritage. By generating three-dimensional models, spherical photos 360º, digital tracings and the virtual restitution of the paintings this allows the visitors to know the sites not only on its current preservation conditions, but also as they were when first discovered and as they should have been in prehistoric times (when the painting was still fresh).
Along with the graphic documentation there are some descriptive documentation about the rock art motifs, increasing the information both about the rock art sites and the Levantine rock art in general. Integrating different technologies (3D scanner, photogrammetry, photography and digital restitution) a new respectful way is found to restore digitally all those rock art shelters that have been destroyed, reaching a full restitution that redresses the absence of the heritage asset.
